Barkin, Janssen set for ‘Chameleon’ roles

From UPI:

Ellen Barkin and Famke Janssen have been cast in French director Jean Paul Salome’s psychological thriller, “The Chameleon,” The Hollywood Reporter said.

Co-starring Nick Stahl and Emilie de Ravin, the film will mark the English-language debuts of both Salome — who co-wrote the script — and French-Canadian actor Marc-Andre Grondin.

The movie is about what happens when a young man is reunited with his family after being positively identified in an unsolved missing-persons case, but suspicions arise about his true identity, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.

The film is loosely based on a New Yorker article called “The Chameleon: The Many Lives of Frederic Bourdin,” which was about an actual person who assumed at least 39 identities, three of them missing teens.
